The Bajaj Chetak urbane electric scooter comes in 2 variants starting from ₹1.23 lakhs. The company offers the vehicle with standard and TecPac options. The electric scooter features a battery with 2.9 kWh making the total kerb weight of the scooter 133kg. The Bajaj Urbane electric scooter has a drum brake at the front and back. Ensuring safety, the Bajaj Urbane electric scooter features a combined braking system. The company offers the ride in 4 different colour options. The Bajaj Urbane colours include coarse grey, Indigo metallic, cyber white, and Brooklyn black. 

The company recently announced a limited-time exchange offer on its standard and Premium electric scooters. Also, the company has unveiled its plan to launch another member in its Chetak series very soon. Reportedly, the upcoming Chetak electric scooter will be the most affordable offering by the company.

Bajaj Chetak Urbane standard Range, Motor, Battery

The Bajaj Chetak Urbane standard scooter is powered by a Brushless Direct Current motor that can generate 3.3kw nominal and 4.08kw peak power. The electric scooter produces a torque of 20 Nm, thanks to which the Bajaj Chetak Urbane standard EV top speed reaches up to 63 km/hr.

Making the electric scooter suitable for long rides, the Bajaj Chetak Urbane standard provides a range of 113 km. Also, to get fully charged, the electric scooter requires only 5 hours, which is quite less than its competitors like Ather 450S and 450X 2.9 kWh.

Bajaj Chetak Urbane Standard Features:

The Bajaj Chetak Urbane Standard comes with technologies like geo-location to track your vehicle, an off-board charger, and a Key Fob. However, the majority of the features in the Bajaj Chetak Urbane are not available in the standard model but instead in the TecPac option. With the additional TecPac option, the rider can unlock options like hill-hold, an updated eco and sports mode, Full App connectivity, and Reverse Mode and can achieve a top speed of 73 km/h. With the Tecpac option, the Bajaj Chetak Urbane standard price will be ₹1.49Lakhs.

Moreover, with the TecPac option, the charging time of the vehicle will also be reduced from 5 hours to 4 hours 30 min.

Bajaj Chetak Urbane Standard Suspension and Brakes

The Bajaj Chetak Urbane standard has a suspension system that consists of a Leading-link suspension at the front and a mono-shock suspension system at the rear. It is constructed on a Tubular Steel Under Bone frame. The Braking system of the EV is assisted by the CBS (Combined Braking System) with 12-inch alloy wheels, the scooter has front and rear 90- and 90-section tubeless tyres respectively installed. It provides 160 mm of ground clearance and 770 mm of seat height. The Bajaj Chetak Urbane standard EV has a curb weight of 133 kg.
