Built for Indian Conditions
Yamaha has ensured the EC-06 is rugged enough for local weather. The motor and battery carry an IP67 rating, while other electronic components are IP65 rated, ensuring high protection against dust and heavy rain.
Competition and Market Outlook
At its current price point, the Yamaha EC-06 enters a competitive space, rivaling the likes of the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, and TVS iQube ST. While it may not be the fastest in its segment, Yamaha is betting on its reputation for reliability, build quality, and a balanced riding experience to attract buyers.
With the government’s push toward the Net-Zero 2070 target, the launch of the EC-06 is a clear signal that Yamaha is ready to be a major player in India’s electric two-wheeler revolution.
