Tata Nexon EV 45 Updated with New Ocean Blue and Pure Grey Colours for 2026

Tata Motors has refreshed its best selling electric SUV, the Tata Nexon EV 45, with two striking new colour options for the new year. The long range 45kWh variant is now available in Ocean Blue and Pure Grey, adding fresh visual appeal to the lineup without altering the price tag.

These cosmetic updates come shortly after the Nexon EV crossed the significant milestone of 1 lakh unit sales, reinforcing its dominance in the Indian EV market.

New Dual-Tone Styling Details

The 2026 update focuses purely on aesthetics. Both the Ocean Blue and Pure Grey options are offered exclusively with a dual tone finish, giving the SUV a sportier stance.

  • Fearless & Empowered Trims: These top spec variants feature the new colours paired with a Piano Black roof.

  • Creative Trim: This mid spec variant pairs the new shades with a contrast White roof.

The existing colour palette including Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Empowered Oxide, and the popular Dark Edition remains available for customers who prefer the classic look.

Exclusive to Long-Range Variants

It is important for buyers to note that these new paint schemes are exclusive to the Nexon EV 45 (the 45kWh battery pack version). The standard range 30kWh variants do not get these new cosmetic updates and continue with the previous colour options.

Specs and Performance: Unchanged

While the exterior gets a refresh, the mechanicals under the hood remain identical. The Nexon EV 45 continues to be powered by a 45kWh battery pack, delivering an ARAI certified range of 489 km on a single charge.

  • Power: 143 bhp

  • Torque: 215 Nm

  • Charging: 10-80% in 40 minutes via a 60kW DC fast charger.

Market Rivals and Price

With no changes to the feature list or powertrain, the prices for the Nexon EV 45 remain consistent, starting at ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated colour palette is a strategic move to keep the model fresh against growing competition from the MG Windsor EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
