Mahindra has officially entered the competitive compact electric SUV segment with the launch of the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, priced aggressively at Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are already open, and the company has confirmed that customer deliveries will commence on February 23, 2026.

Serving as the spiritual successor to the XUV400, this new sub-4-meter EV packs a 39.4kWh battery and premium features to challenge the segment leader, the Tata Nexon EV.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV Price in India

Mahindra has kept the lineup simple with two feature-loaded variants.

AX5

Rs 13.89 Lakh

AX7L

Rs 14.96 Lakh

Note: Prices include a standard 3.3kW charger. A faster 7.2kW AC charger is available as an option for an additional Rs 50,000.

Battery, Range, and Performance Specs

The XUV 3XO EV retains the punchy performance of the XUV400 but optimizes it for urban efficiency.

  • Battery Pack: 39.4 kWh

  • Range: Mahindra claims a real-world range of 285 km on a full charge.

  • Power & Torque: 150hp and 310Nm.

  • Acceleration: 0-100 kph in just 8.3 seconds.

  • Charging: Supports fast charging, capable of going from 0-80% in 50 minutes using a 50kW DC charger.

Exterior and Interior Highlights

While it shares its silhouette with the petrol-powered XUV 3XO, the EV gets distinct styling updates.

  • Exterior: The EV stands out with exclusive bronze highlights on the bodywork, a blanked-off grille, and aero-optimized alloy wheels. Being a sub-4-meter SUV, it is more compact than the outgoing XUV400.

  • Top Features: The top-spec AX7L trim is loaded with a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch screens (infotainment and digital cluster), a Harman Kardon audio system, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

XUV 3XO EV vs. Tata Nexon EV

This launch intensifies the battle in the sub-15 lakh EV space. The XUV 3XO EV undercuts the top-spec Nexon EV variants while offering superior torque figures (310Nm vs Nexon's 215Nm). With deliveries starting in late February, Mahindra aims to capture buyers looking for a tech-heavy, high-performance daily commuter.

Delivery Timeline

Potential buyers will have to wait slightly before driving the car home. Mahindra has confirmed that deliveries for the XUV 3XO EV will commence on February 23, 2026.
