Ather Energy Smashes 400,000 Sales! July 2025 Records 16,231 Units as Rizta Drives 59% Growth

Ather Energy has achieved a massive milestone, crossing 400,000 cumulative sales since its market debut in 2018, driven by record-breaking demand for its Rizta family electric scooter.

In July 2025, Ather sold 16,231 units, marking an 11% month-on-month growth and an impressive 59% YoY jump compared to July 2024 (10,218 units). This makes it Ather’s third-best month ever and potentially its second-highest once Vahan’s late registrations are updated.

With this performance, Ather captured a 16% market share in July’s 102,865 electric two-wheeler registrations and has already retailed 98,004 units from Jan–July 2025, achieving 77% of its entire CY2024 sales in just seven months. At this pace, Ather is poised to cross 150,000 units annually for the first time in CY2025.

Rizta Powers Ather’s Surge – 60% of Monthly Sales

The Ather Rizta, launched as a family-oriented scooter to take on the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Hero Vida, has become Ather’s growth engine, contributing over 60% of monthly sales.

Key highlights of the Rizta:

• India’s largest 2-wheeler seat & class-leading storage.
• Three variants – Rizta S (2.9 kWh) with 123 km range, Rizta Z (3.7 kWh) with 159 km range.
• Premium pricing: ₹99,999–₹1.42 lakh (ex-showroom).
• Over 100,000 units sold within 13 months of launch (April 2024 milestone).
• Access to Ather Grid, now spanning 3,900+ fast chargers nationwide.

On July 1, Ather expanded the lineup with the Rizta S 3.7 kWh variant priced at ₹1,37,047 (ex-showroom Delhi), offering 159 km IDC range and upgraded safety and connectivity features.

450S Extended Range Launch Adds Momentum

To capture performance-focused buyers, Ather also launched the 450S 3.7 kWh variant on July 31 at ₹1,45,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) with an IDC range of 161 km, 5.4 kW motor, and 0–40 km/h acceleration in 3.9 seconds.

This move bridges the gap between entry-level scooters and the premium 450X, aiming to strengthen Ather’s festive season lineup.

CY2025 So Far: Ather Dominates Premium EV Space

• Jan–July 2025 sales: 98,004 units (56% YoY growth).
