Zypp Electric invests in Odysse Electric, orders 40,000 electric two-wheeler
To widen its EV market throughout India, Zypp Electric has invested in Odysse Electric, an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer. Under the agreement, Zypp Electric has bought 40,000 EVs, scheduled to be delivered in the upcoming 3 years
The update is likely to strengthen Odysse's foothold in the B2B segment of the Indian EV market. Meanwhile, the company also plans to expand its dealership network across India by providing sustainable mobility options in personal and last-mile delivery markets throughout urban and local areas.
CEO of Odysse Electric, Nemin Vora, stated, “This strategic collaboration with Zypp Electric marks a significant milestone for us. Their expertise in fleet electrification and understanding of the EV market will help accelerate our plans for nationwide growth. This partnership aligns with our vision to promote sustainable transportation and meet the increasing demand for electric vehicles.”
Zypp Electric's CEO and co-founder, Akash Gupta, emphasised the company's intentions to decarbonise last-mile delivery by deploying 200,000 EVs over the next two to three years. He pointed out that as Odysse Electric exhibits a dedication to quality and the capacity to satisfy specific needs, the investment is consistent with Zypp Electric's values.
Odysse Electric, Founded in 2020, offers a spectrum of seven options in electric scooters and motorcycles engineered to cater for B2B demands and personal use.
