VNT Pioneers Ultra-Fast Charging: India's First 1 MW EV Charger Launched

VNT has marked a transformative moment for the nation’s electric mobility landscape by launching India's first 1 MW EV Charger in Gurgaon. This entirely in-house designed and developed innovation represents a monumental leap in ultra-fast charging technology, specifically targeting the high-power demands of the heavy-duty and commercial transport sectors.

The introduction of this high-capacity charging solution is set to rapidly accelerate the transition of commercial fleets toward electric power, reinforcing India’s commitment to achieving its Net Zero ambitions.

Redefining Heavy-Duty EV Charging Infrastructure

The massive 1 MW capacity is engineered to meet the needs of next-generation, high-capacity electric vehicles. Previously, charging heavy-duty fleets and long-haul transport was a major bottleneck in the industry, but this charger solves that challenge.

The new VNT EV Charger enables :

  • Ultra-Fast Charging : Significantly reducing downtime for commercial vehicles.

  • Support for Long-Haul Transport : Making electric adoption viable for trucking and logistics.

  • Commercial Vehicle EV Charger Solution : Directly addressing the market segment with the highest energy demands.

Intelligent Technology Powers the Breakthrough

Beyond its sheer power, the 1 MW EV Charger integrates sophisticated features critical for maximizing performance and minimizing operational costs:

  • High Efficiency : Ensuring optimal power transfer and reduced energy wastage.

  • Dynamic Load Balancing : Intelligently managing power distribution across the charging system.

  • Intelligent Energy Management System : Maximizing performance and reliability while minimizing energy loss.

Driving India EV Infrastructure and Net Zero Goals

Company leadership, including Managing Director & Chairman Dr. Vikas Almadi, emphasized that the launch is a defining moment for the country’s EV ecosystem, fully supporting the national goal of building a self-reliant and sustainable future.

This breakthrough not only strengthens India EV infrastructure but also highlights the country's growing prowess in developing world-class sustainable energy solutions entirely domestically. By delivering fast, efficient, and reliable charging, VNT is actively driving the technological progress necessary to make electric mobility the new standard for all vehicle segments in India.
