VinFast records highest monthly sales ever, delivers 20,380 EVs in October

Marking its highest monthly sales ever, VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, has delivered 20,380 electric vehicles in October 2025. The update takes the company’s overall deliveries to 124,264 units within the first ten months of 2025, making it the highest-selling automaker in Vietnam for the 14th consecutive month.

The achievement came soon after VinFast became the first carmaker in Vietnam's history to deliver more than 100,000 vehicles in the first nine months of the initial year. The October sales came as a result of a growing national consumer shift toward electric mobility, which reinstates the brand's growth trajectory. 

Domestic sales are still dominated by VinFast's fleet of compact EVs. 

Meanwhile, with 4,619 sold in October, the VF 3 continued to be the company's best-selling model, with 36,005 sold so far this year. In addition, VF 5, with budget-conscious city commuters as its target consumers, received 4,450 deliveries, increasing its ten-month total to 35,406 units.

Both models are becoming more and more popular because of their pricing, compact size, and suitability for city driving, EVmechanica reported.

According to Ms Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales and Marketing at VinFast, the surge in sales reflects a transformative shift in consumer confidence.

She stated, “More than 20,000 vehicles sold in October and over 124,000 units in 10 months are unprecedented figures in the Vietnamese automotive market. These results reaffirm customer trust in VinFast’s product quality and our commitment to greener mobility.”

In the next months of 2025, VinFast plans to launch two new models: the Minio Green, a microelectric vehicle designed for urban use, and the EC Van, a small electric commercial van. The goal of both launches is to increase VinFast's appeal to both private and business users, hence enhancing its impact on Vietnam's quickly growing EV sector.
