VinFast India Signs LOIs with 50+ E-Motorcycle Dealers, Expanding Network to 15 States and 34 Cities

Vietnamese electric vehicle giant VinFast is making major waves in India's green mobility sector. Following its successful entry into the Indian electric car market in 2026, the company has officially signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with its first 50+ e-motorcycle dealer partners.

This strategic milestone marks the foundation of VinFast’s first dedicated electric two-wheeler retail network in India, setting the stage for a nationwide product rollout.

Expanding the Electric Two-Wheeler Footprint in India

The official signing ceremony took place at VinFast’s state-of-the-art Manufacturing Complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during an exclusive delegation visit by Indian dealer partners. After touring the production facility and witnessing VinFast’s manufacturing standards firsthand, the partners committed to accelerating the brand's rapid expansion across India.

Under the new agreements, VinFast and its dealer network will establish over 50 dedicated e-motorcycle showrooms spanning 34 cities across 15 states and union territories. Alongside retail outlets, the company is concurrently investing in robust charging infrastructure and after-sales support networks to ensure a seamless ownership experience.

Where Will VinFast E-Motorcycle Showrooms Open?

VinFast’s initial dealer network is designed to cover key high-demand automotive markets across all major regions of India:

• North India: Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, and Punjab
• Central India: Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh
• West India: Maharashtra and Gujarat
• South India: Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh
• East India: West Bengal and Odisha

According to VinFast, these regions account for massive two-wheeler volumes and present immense potential for EV adoption.

What to Expect from VinFast’s E-Scooter Lineup in India

While VinFast has kept final specifications under wraps for the Indian market, automotive industry reports and recent patent filings give clear clues about what's coming:

1. VinFast Viper: Already patented in India, this popular electric scooter features a robust setup in international markets (such as a 3 kW electric motor and a 4.8 kWh battery).
2. Electric Motorcycles: VinFast has also patented a sleek, low-slung electric motorcycle reminiscent of its global concepts, which could feature high-performance capabilities.

Showrooms and initial model rollouts are widely expected to launch around early 2027.

Why India is Crucial for VinFast’s Global Strategy

India remains the world's largest two-wheeler market, registering over 21.41 million two-wheelers in the 2025–2026 fiscal year alone. However, electric vehicles accounted for only 6.54% of that total, pointing to a massive, untapped runway for green mobility growth.
