Vietnamese EV pioneer VinFast has announced a major expansion of its consumer incentive strategy in the Indian market. In a bold move to accelerate the country’s green transition, the company has officially extended its VinFast free charging program in India through March 31, 2029.

This three year "zero fuel cost" advantage is designed to provide maximum value for owners of the VinFast VF 6 and VinFast VF 7, effectively reducing the total cost of ownership to nearly zero for the first 36 months of operation.

VinFast India Offers: Free Charging at V-Green Network

The extended policy ensures that all VinFast electric vehicle owners including private buyers and commercial operators on the Green SM ride hailing platform receive unlimited free charging.

• Eligibility: Applicable to existing owners and all future buyers until the 2029 deadline.

• Infrastructure: Charging is supported across the rapidly expanding V-Green developed charging network, which includes high speed DC chargers at major urban touchpoints and HPCL locations.

‘Trade Gas for Electric’ Program: Extra Discounts for Petrol Car Owners

Vingroup, the parent company of VinFast, has also launched the “Trade Gas for Electric” program, running from March 11 to March 31, 2026. This limited time initiative is strategically timed with the upcoming PM E-DRIVE subsidy deadline to help buyers maximize savings.

• 3% Additional Discount on VinFast electric cars (VF 6 and VF 7).

• 5% Additional Discount on VinFast electric scooters (Klara, Vento, and Evo).

• 10% Fare Discount for users of Green SM electric taxi services under the “GreenForAll” campaign.

These layered incentives can be combined with existing state EV subsidies and festive offers, creating a "gold-rush window" for Indian consumers looking to switch from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

VinFast’s current lineup in India features two premium, five star safety rated SUVs. The VinFast VF 6 price in India starts at ₹17.29 lakh, offering a 59.6 kWh battery and a certified driving range of 468 km.

For those seeking more power, the VinFast VF 7 price in India starts at ₹21.89 lakh. The VF 7 features a massive 70 kWh battery pack, delivering up to 532 km of range and 348 bhp in its top tier AWD variant.
