VinFast, the Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturer, on Saturday, has finally launched its much-awaited VF6 and VF7 at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹16.49 lakh and ₹20.89 lakh, respectively.

Launched during the festive period, both the SUVs were staged in green shade and will be available in 7 colour options including infinity blanc, crimson red, jet black, Dldesat silver, zenith grey and urban mint.

As per the ET, the VF6 will equip a 59.6 kWh battery and offer an ARAI-certified range of 468 km. Meanwhile, the VF7 will feature two battery variants, including a 59.6 kWh battery and a 70.8kWh battery, which can offer a 532km range in a single charge.

The EV manufacturer will compete with domestic players, Tata Motors Ltd, Mahindra and Asian rivals like BYD Co. and SAIC Motor.

Pham Sanh Chau, VinFast CEO, during the launch said, "India is essential to our mission. Entering India was about understanding their need, and the response to our entry into the nation was phenomenal".

Chau said, "We are not only selling cars, we bring the whole ecosystem, TOI reported.

He asks the audience to buy their car today and enjoy the upcoming whole EV ecosystem of the company, including e-buses, charging stations and more. He also underlined the fact that the ‘Made in India' tagged vehicles will not only be restricted to South Asia, but will also travel to Africa and the Middle East.

Earlier in July, the company had already started accepting bookings for the VF6 and VF7 for a token price of ₹21,000. Additionally, the carmaker announced that it has agreements with 13 dealer groups to open 32 dealerships in 27 locations. By the end of 2025, the business hopes to have grown this network to 35 dealerships, enhancing its position in the Indian EV market.
