Ultraviolette Automotive, the Bengaluru-based innovator in future-ready electric vehicle platforms, has officially commenced retail operations in the United Kingdom. Marking a major milestone in its global expansion, the company launched its flagship F77 MACH 2 RECON and F77 SuperStreet RECON motorcycles while simultaneously unveiling three groundbreaking future platforms—the X-47 Crossover, the Tesseract scooter, and the Shockwave lightweight motorcycle—at the Motorcycle Live Show in London.

1. UK Market Entry: The F77 Series & Strategic Partnership

Ultraviolette has entered the UK market in an exclusive distribution partnership with MotoMondo BV, a company with over 25 years of experience in the motorcycle industry across Northern Europe.

Two variants of the F77 were launched for British riders :

  • F77 MACH 2 RECON : Designed with a race-inspired, assertive stance for an adrenaline-charged experience.

  • F77 SuperStreet RECON : Features a relaxed, upright posture with refined ergonomics for everyday comfort without compromising excitement.

Key Specifications & Technology :

  • Performance : 30 kW peak power, 100 Nm torque, and a top speed of 155 km/h

  • Range : Powered by a 10.3 kWh battery, offering an IDC range of up to 323 km

  • Tech Stack : Includes the proprietary Violette A.I. system, switchable Dual-Channel ABS by Bosch, Dynamic Stability Control, 10 levels of Regenerative Braking, and 4 levels of Traction Control.

2. Global Unveil: Three New Future-Ready Platforms

At the London event, Ultraviolette showcased its "Future Line-up," emphasizing advanced safety and performance.

A. The X-47 Crossover : The World’s First Radar-Integrated Motorcycle

The X-47 is an electric motorcycle designed to fuse two distinct segments for versatility across diverse terrains.

  • Radar Technology : It is the first motorcycle globally to feature integrated radar as a standard fitment. The system adapts to lean angles of up to 20 degrees and compensates for pitch and roll.

  • UV HyperSense Safety Features :

    • Blind Spot Detection : Scans for fast-approaching vehicles.

    • Lane Change Assist : Alerts riders to collision risks during lane changes.

    • Overtake Alert : Warns of vehicles approaching from the rear to overtake.

    • Rear Collision Warning : Detects rear-end threats and activates hazard lights while alerting the rider via mirrors.

  • Charging : Features the "World's Most Power Dense Air-Cooled On-board Charger," capable of delivering full power even in ambient temperatures of 45 to 50 C.

B. The Tesseract : Advanced Electric Scooter

The Tesseract is a performance scooter designed for all road conditions.

  • Safety First : The world’s first scooter to integrate both radar and dashcam technology.

  • Smart Mirrors : Features "Omnisense mirrors" with embedded multi-colour LED displays for real-time safety alerts.

  • Specs : Equipped with 14-inch wheels, 34 litres of under-seat storage, a 7-inch TFT display, Traction Control, and Dynamic Regen.

C. The Shockwave : Lightweight Performance

Designed to reignite the thrill of the "2-stroke era," the Shockwave is a lightweight electric motorcycle focused on fun and accessibility.

  • Performance : Delivers a massive 505 Nm of torque at the rear wheel, accelerating from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds

  • Configuration : Features a "tracker" style setup with a 19-inch spoked front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel 17-inch.

3. Leadership & Strategic Vision

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder, highlighted the significance of the launch, stating that the UK is "renowned for its deep motorcycling heritage." He also noted that the progression of the UK-India Free Trade Agreement would further enhance cross-border collaboration and the ease of bringing advanced mobility technology to the region.

Jan Ykema, Managing Director of MotoMondo, described the F77 as a "genuine and affordable mobility solution" in a landscape where ICE vehicles face increasing restrictions and rising ownership costs.
