TVS Motor Unveils Custom TVS X Electric Scooters at Bengaluru Design Event

TVS Motor Company has officially bridged the gap between cutting edge electric mobility and Indian heritage. At the exclusive TVS X Collectors' Soirée held in Bengaluru, the company unveiled three bespoke, custom designed versions of its flagship TVS X electric scooter.

Created in collaboration with renowned fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla, these "moving canvases" were auctioned to collectors to support local artisan communities, marking a significant shift in how premium EVs are positioned in the Indian market.

A Tribute to Karnataka’s Heritage

The TVS X, already known for its high performance Xleton frame and permanent magnet synchronous motor, served as the foundation for three distinct artistic interpretations. Each design draws from the rich cultural tapestry of Karnataka:

  1. The Hampi Edition: Inspired by the stone carvings and architectural grandeur of the UNESCO World Heritage site.

  2. The Channapatna Edition: Featuring the vibrant colors and lacquerware aesthetics of the famous "Toy Town."

  3. The Mysuru Edition: Reflecting the royal elegance and intricate motifs associated with the Mysuru Palace.

Art Meets Sustainability: The Charity Auction

The event wasn’t just a showcase of design prowess; it carried a social mission. The custom scooters were auctioned to a private group of collectors and design enthusiasts.

All proceeds from the auction have been directed to A Hundred Hands, a Bengaluru-based non-profit dedicated to assisting traditional artisans. By linking the sale of high end electric two wheelers to the preservation of craft, TVS is fostering a unique ecosystem of "conscious luxury."

TVS X: More Than Just a Scooter

Gaurav Gupta, President of India Two Wheeler Business at TVS Motor Company, noted that this Bengaluru event is only the "first chapter." TVS plans to take this cultural initiative across India, using the TVS X as a platform to engage with different regional art forms.

For the EV industry, this move signals a transition. Manufacturers are moving beyond technical specifications like range and top speed to build a lifestyle brand around their premium products.

Key Specifications of the TVS X

While the "Collectors' Soirée" focused on aesthetics, the underlying machine remains one of India’s most advanced electric scooters:

  • Top Speed: 105 km/h

  • Acceleration: 0-40 km/h in 2.6 seconds

  • Display: 10.2-inch tilt-adjustable panoramic touchscreen

  • Smart Features: TVS SmartXonnect with advanced navigation and ride modes.

Conclusion

The TVS X Collectors' Soirée has set a new benchmark for automotive launches in India. By blending the future of transport with the history of the land, TVS is not just selling a vehicle; they are curating a piece of Indian identity.
