TVS Motor unveils X EV in India, aspire to acquire significant share in global markets

product, the X, has been presented by TVS Motor Company for the Indian market after the company debuted its first electric scooter, the iQube, in 2020. Priced at INR 2,49,990 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and described as a 'crossover' between an electric scooter and a motorbike, X is not eligible for FAME subsidy. The new two-wheeler comes with a 4.44kWh twin battery pack.A turning point in TVS's made-in-India journey has been reached with this launch. At the inaugural ceremony held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday, Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director, TVS Motor Company, stated that X has been created for "global citizens, who are trendsetters and visionaries with an enthusiasm for technology."
With X, TVS hopes to improve its globalisation plan and put more of an emphasis on foreign markets. In keeping with this, a new two-wheeler was unveiled in Dubai while facing the Burj Khalifa. The world's tallest structure briefly lighted up as the business unveiled the car to highlight the EV.
Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia are among the countries X is aiming to sell its products abroad. Next fiscal year, exports are anticipated to start.
From the ground up, TVS built X on the brand-new platform 'Xleton'. Internally created components include the software architecture, infotainment system, electric motor, and Battery Management System (BMS). The firm, situated in Chennai, claimed to have invested INR 250 crore in this initiative and has ambitions to create over 100 new EVs every day.
