ThunderPlus opens ultra-fast charging station in Hyderabad

ThunderPlus, in partnership with South Central Railway, has established a new ultra-fast charging station at Necklace Road, Hyderabad, News 18 reported.

The station established will serve areas of Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, and Secunderabad.

With the update, ThunderPlus has set up 200 EV charging stations throughout India, providing a total of 10 MWh of energy and enabling the daily charging of 4,000 EVs. According to the report, these stations also contribute to the daily reduction of 35 metric tons of CO₂ emissions.

Top ThunderPlus officials, public sector stakeholders, and partners attended the event.

Citing Mr Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, News 18 reported, “This station is more than just another dot on the map, it’s a beacon of growth, grit, and green innovation. At ThunderPlus, we’re building more than EV infrastructure; we’re crafting a future where clean energy and cutting-edge technology move in tandem."

Mr. Arvind Kompelli, the franchise partner, and Sri Vishal Arjun from the Ministry of Railways were also present at the event.

Mr. Arvind Kompelli stated, “The Assured Business Guarantee program by ThunderPlus gave us the trust and confidence to invest in this sunrise EV industry," News 18 reported.
