Ahead of the forthcoming Auto Expo 2023, MG Motor India has showcased the revolutionary

MG 4 EV

hatchback to pique public interest. In addition to other foreign designs, the Chinese-owned British manufacturer will display the MG 4 EV at the next Auto Expo 2023. The MG 4 EV is an electric hatchback built on the business's innovative Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), which is ostensibly designed expressly to meet the needs of electric cars. It's also important to note that SAIC, the principal firm of MG, owns this fully Electric foundation. This innovative platform's initial version has the following dimensions: 4,287mm in length, 1,836mm in width, 1,506mm in height, and 2,705mm for the wheelbase. In addition, the MG 4 has a dramatic, crossover-like appearance with LED lights, aggressive alloy wheels, and main body outlines.

Regarding the MG 4 EV's features, the electric hatchback features two battery pack choices, each with its electric motor and a primary electric motor that drives the back axle. There are two different battery package choices: a respectable 51 kWh battery capacity and a substantially bigger 64 kWh battery capacity. In terms of the electric powertrain, the MG 4 EV with the smaller 51kWh battery pack has a 168bhp electric powertrain. In contrast, the

MG 4 EV

with the larger 64kWh battery capacity has a 201bhp electric powertrain. Nevertheless, the combined power of the two electric motors is 250Nm.

The MG 4's interior will have a simple layout with straight lateral stripes and hanging screens. The EV's center display unit measures 10.25 inches, while the digitized instrument panel has a 7-inch touchscreen. A small center panel with a rotary dial and a cordless charging point also protrude from the front. Seats with ventilation, 360-degree cameras, ADAS, and other features are included.

Aside from that, the

MG 4 EV

achieved 83% in the Adult Occupant Protection collision test with 31.6 out of 38 points, earning a perfect 5-Star safety certification from Euro New Car Assessment Program.

When delving into the specifics of that same Euro NCAP safety testing, the MG 4 EV achieved 78 % with a rating of 12.6 out of 16 in its safety equipment collision testing and 39.5 out of 49 in the child seat safety collapse testing.

Rear-wheel drive hatchbacks are things people could be intrigued by, and the upcoming MG 4 EV has one of those configurations. That said, the MG 4 EV has every requirement to be a competitive Electric Car in India.

Starting on January 11, the

electric car

will be displayed at MG India's booth at the India Expo Mart. The business is now introducing the MG 4 EV hatchback to India to see how Indian consumers would respond to it after officially being released on the international market. The revolutionary 2023 Hector and the MG Air City EV are two further variants on exhibit at the MG booth.
