The carmaker began accepting reservations for the electric vehicle earlier in January, with a deposit of Rs 21,000. The Punch EV will be available in five different variants: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. It is now making its way to nearby dealerships.

The new Tata Punch EV's ex-showroom pricing, broken down by version, are listed below:

Smart: INR 10.99 lakh

Smart+: INR 11,49 lakh

The Adventure package costs Rs 11.99 lakh. LR is Rs 12.99 lakh.

"With the introduction of the Punch.ev, an SUV that goes above and beyond daily expectations, we are demonstrating our dedication to providing a flexible electric vehicle that meets changing consumer demands to a whole new degree." According to an official release, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited stated. He further continues, "The vehicle aims to catapult the Indian EV market, and leapfrog India into an era of pure EVs."

The Tata Punch EV will come with two different battery pack options: a Long Range (LR) model with a 35 kWh battery pack that has a MIDC of 421 km, and a 25 kWh variant with a stated range (MIDC) of 315 km.

Customers may choose between two alternatives for charging their Punch EV from Tata Motors: a 3.3 kW wall box charger and a 7.2 kW rapid home charger, which is only available for the LR model.

Customised architecture

The Tata Punch EV is the first all-electric car constructed on the brand-new Acti.Ev platform, according to a recent Moneycontrol story. Tata particularly created this platform with high production volume and efficiency in mind for its electric vehicles.

"EVs have grown 100 times since their launch and are now widely used. The Punch.ev is poised to redefine norms and create a paradigm shift beyond the demands of today and the future, demonstrating Tata's commitment to democratising EVs," Chandra continued.

Within a month of opening two shops dedicated to electric vehicles in Gurugram, Haryana, Tata Motors unveiled the Punch electric variant. Within the next 12 to 18 months, the domestic automaker has also laid out grand plans to create new showrooms for electric vehicles in Tier-I and Tier-II towns.

Five colour options—Empowered Oxide Dual Tone, Seaweed Dual Tone, Fearless Red Dual Tone, Pristine White Dual Tone and Daytona Grey Dual Tone —will be available for the electric Punch.

The e-SUV comes with a digital instrument cluster, automatic temperature control, a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, it is equipped with a 360-degree camera, a single-pane sunroof, an automatic parking brake, heated front seats, an air purifier, cruise control, a blind spot monitor, and six airbags, among other standard amenities.
