The much-anticipated Tata Avinya will launch in India in 2026, after the debut of Sierra and Punch EV, the company has confirmed. Built on EV-specific architecture, the electric SUV, first staged as a concept, will now serve as the base to build future premium EV lineups of the company. 

 

As per the company, the Avinya is engineered to offer improved efficiency, space and next-gen technology. The car is expected to play an important role in the brand’s EV expansion strategy in India. 

 

The Tata EV platform, known as Born-electric architecture, supports various battery configurations and can come in different styles. In terms of performance, the platform offers better efficiency, cabin space and flat-floor packaging. However, the exact specifications are not yet disclosed by the company. 

 

Tata Avinya: Design 

 

The Tata Avinya features a clean and minimal design. While the concept model features short overhangs, a tall stance, and an aerodynamic shape, the production version is expected to maintain this overall silhouette, with minor changes to meet road regulations. Meanwhile, key exterior highlights are expected to include slim LED lights, a closed front fascia, and a coupe-style roofline, setting the Avinya apart from Tata’s existing SUV-based electric vehicles.



Tata Avinya: Interior 

 

The Tata Avinya’s interior is expected to focus on space and simplicity. Meanwhile, its dedicated EV platform will provide a flat floor, improving rear-seat comfort and offering a lounge-style cabin. As per the reports, the car will come with a simple dashboard, a large digital screen, advanced driver assistance systems and connected car features. As per the minimalistic theme, physical controls are expected to be limited, and the majority of the controls may feature in the central display.
