Spyshots leaked: Is this India’s most affordable electric car?
Renault Kwid is anticipated to launch its electric vehicle, which is supposedly going to be the cheapest 4-door EV in India, NDTV reported.
According to the report, the recently surfaced spy shots of the electric vehicle have revealed that the vehicle may feature a 26.8 kWh battery pack, which might provide a range of 225 km. In terms of power outputs, the model available at the global level can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 14 seconds as it produces 65 horsepower and 113 Nm.
In addition, the vehicle can get charged from 20% to 80% in just 45 minutes. Options for charging include a 30 kW DC fast charger and a 7 kW AC charger.
The vehicle is expected to have a 7-inch digital display, a 10-inch touchscreen, and electric windows for every door. Additionally, unlike other vehicles in the sector, it might have cruise control and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability to power external equipment.
As per the report, the Renault Kwid EV will formally debut in early 2026 at an expected ex-showroom price of Rs 7-8 lakh.
