Spy photos leaked: Mahindra BE.05 electric car spotted
Mahindra is planning to unveil its BE.05 electric vehicle in the Indian electric market to compete with vehicles like Tata Curvv EV, Mg ZS Ev and the expected to launch Hyundai Creta and Maruti eVX, according to a report by Drive Spark. The 5 electric vehicles in the launch pipeline of the Mahindra, the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, and BE.05 are reported to be going on a vigorous testing phase as the company intends to launch them first. Mahindra BE.05 Production-Specified Lighting Mahindra is preparing to launch a worldwide electric vehicle range with two newborn-electric series: XUV.e and BE. The other electric vehicles in the company’s pipeline include the Thar.e, Scorpio.e, and Bolero.e . The Thar.e Concept was recently shown at an event in South Africa.
The BE.05 has been observed in two versions with various design elements, most likely indicating base and top models outfitted based on price range. Recent spy images show the top model with prominent LED signatures. The BE.05's front boasts enormous C-shaped LED DRLs that take up nearly all of the fascia's vertical area. The design is flamboyant and futuristic, with a sleek silhouette.
The back of the BE.05 features a similar C-shaped LED signature surrounding the tail lamps, giving it an aggressive appearance. As seen by these fresh photographs, Mahindra looks to have carried over the double roof spoiler design from concept to reality.
Spy images reveal that the inside of the BE.05 will be similar to its concept form, with a distinct separation between the two front seats for a cockpit-like experience for the driver—a novel approach in mainstream Indian vehicles.
The BE.05 will include two 10.2-inch screens for infotainment and instruments, as opposed to the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9, which have more screens.
Previous spy images seen next to a Maruti Suzuki Dzire indicate that the BE.05 may be smaller than expected. However, there is not sufficient data released yet and the specifications will unfold as the vehicle approaches its expected introduction in 2025 on the INGLO platform, which will have a 60 kWh battery.
The side profile shows a sophisticated coupe-style roofline with an edgy twist, indicating a developing trend in India's automotive industry. The enormous aero scoop on the bonnet is believed to channel air effectively, while aerodynamic wheels minimise air drag. To summarise, Mahindra's forthcoming BE.05 offers creative design characteristics both inside and out, establishing it as a competitive participant in India's developing electric vehicle industry.
