Royal Enfield Electric Bike 'Flying Flea' Confirmed for 2026 Global Launch

Motorcycle enthusiasts, the wait is almost over. Iconic manufacturer Royal Enfield has officially confirmed its entry into the electric vehicle market, with the global rollout of its first e-bike range slated to begin in 2026. The new line of electric motorcycles will be launched under the historic "Flying Flea" brand name.

The announcement came from Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan at the EICMA 2025 global two-wheeler exhibition in Milan.

'Flying Flea' C6 and S6 Models Announced

Royal Enfield is not just launching one bike; it's introducing a new brand. The company showcased its second electric bike, the Flying Flea S6, at the Milan event.

However, the CEO confirmed the go-to-market strategy. "We will be into the market in 2026, first starting with Flying Flea C6, followed by (Flying Flea) S6," Govindarajan stated.

Global Launch Timeline: Europe First, India Launch to Follow

The Royal Enfield electric bike will see its initial commercial launch in Europe. This strategic move targets a mature market before its introduction elsewhere.

For riders eagerly awaiting the Royal Enfield electric bike launch date in India, Govindarajan confirmed it will happen "within a short window" after the European release. This ensures the Indian market will not have to wait long to see the new e-bikes on its roads.

Building a New Market for Royal Enfield EVs

The company's ambition goes beyond simply selling a new product. The CEO explained that Royal Enfield is focused on creating and growing a new market category for its electric bikes.

"Our focus is...taking it to the market," Govindarajan said. "We are confident that we will grow this category in time." This long-term vision indicates a significant commitment from the Eicher Motors-owned company to establish a strong foothold in the global electric motorcycle space.
