Top major vehicle manufacturers have turned their primary emphasis to
electric cars
ever since the Indian government promoted the EV culture in the nation. Following suit, the French automaker Renault is now prepared to introduce the Kwid EV by the end of this year or the beginning of 2025.According to rumours, the EV version of the Kwid will be more futuristic and include some of the cutting-edge technologies now offered by numerous firms. Some rumours also claimed that the impending electric Kwid would probably keep the ICE models' distinctive design. However, it is anticipated to have new bumpers, improved lighting, and attractive grilles at both ends, displaying EV on it.
If it is released, the Kwid EV is anticipated to have the same power output as the model now available in Europe. Customers may anticipate a 26.8kWh battery pack with a maximum output of 43 horsepower and a peak torque of 125 Nm. The EV is also anticipated to have a respectable range of around 300 km during the course of a full top-up. The compact battery pack is likely to ensure that you save time by a few hours when it comes to charging time.
According to rumours, the car will likely include a few new features, such as a tyre pressure monitoring system, a dashboard overhaul, some interior improvements, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and compatibility for all car connect technologies, among other things.
Once the vehicle is available in India, it may affect sales of the recently released Citroen eC3, the Tiago EV from Tata Motors, and the little Comet EV from MG.
