Raptee.HV Partners with IDFC FIRST Bank to Accelerate Electric Motorcycle Financing in India
Chennai-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Raptee.HV has announced a strategic financing partnership with IDFC FIRST Bank, a major move aimed at overcoming one of the most significant barriers to EV adoption in India.
This collaboration is set to enhance the consumer ownership experience by providing faster loan approvals, competitive terms, and flexible repayment options directly at Raptee.HV dealerships. By streamlining the financing process, the company is positioning itself to make its high-performance, high-voltage electric motorcycles more accessible to a broader demographic of Indian riders.
Strengthening the EV Ownership Ecosystem
The partnership with IDFC FIRST Bank is part of a broader, technology-driven strategy to build a comprehensive ecosystem around Raptee.HV’s electric motorcycles.
"For most customers, the decision to switch to electric is not just about the motorcycle itself; it's about how easy and convenient the entire ownership experience is," said Dinesh Arjun, CEO and Co-Founder of Raptee.HV. "At Raptee.HV, we have always focused on removing friction at every step of that journey, whether it's charging, service, insurance, or financing."
This latest tie-up complements the company’s existing financial support network, which already includes partnerships with Indian Overseas Bank and Shriram Finance. Additionally, Raptee.HV has integrated insurance support through Muthoot Risk Insurance and Broking Services to offer seamless coverage options at the point of sale.
Bringing "Electric Car DNA" to Two-Wheelers
Raptee.HV is currently disrupting the Indian electric two-wheeler market with its proprietary HV-Tec platform. Unlike traditional electric scooters, the company’s flagship T30 model features a high-voltage architecture typically reserved for electric cars, allowing it to utilize the CCS2 public charging standard.
Key highlights of the Raptee.HV T30 include
-
Fast Charging : Compatibility with CCS2 car charging stations, allowing for quick, reliable top-ups.
-
Performance : A top speed of 135 kmph and acceleration from 0-60 kmph in 3.5 seconds.
-
Range : An estimated IDC range of 200 km on a single charge.
