Ola Electric records sales of 3,44,005 EV units, claims 30% market share
Recording sales of 3,44,005 units of EV scooters in FY25, Ola Electric has claimed a market share of 30%, the company said on Tuesday.
According to VAHAN, the company reported that it sold 23,430 units in March 2025, with both urban and rural areas exhibiting high demand. A statement further stated that Ola Electric anticipates finishing the remaining February–March registrations in April 2025, having almost cleared the February backlog.
Citing a spokesperson for Ola Electric, The Hindu reported, “Ola Electric continues to see strong demand across urban and rural markets during March 2025. We’ve nearly cleared the February backlog and are rapidly scaling operations to complete all pending registrations.’‘
Citing the spokesperson, the report added that Ola's Gen 3 portfolio has received an incredible reaction that has gone beyond all expectations. The delivery of Ola Electric's S1 Gen 3 scooter portfolio has started nationwide. According to the corporation, Gen 3 would provide a 20% boost in peak power, an 11% cost decrease, and a 20% range improvement over Gen 2.
