Electric vehicle startup Okaya EV has launched its Motofaast e-scooter in the Indian market, and described the 2-wheeler as a ‘fusion between a scooter and a motorcycle.’&nbsp; "We have come to understand that, in addition to safety, our customers are seeking an array of advanced features. This has inspired us to introduce the ‘Scoobike’ with high-end features, to offer our customers the safest and most comfortable ride possible. We aim to provide the latest and safest technology, whether in terms of batteries or feature enhancements,” HT Auto quoted Dr. Anshul Gupta, MD, Okaya Electric Vehicles, as saying. Motofaast has been offered a price of ₹136,999 (ex-showroom) by the company. Additionally, reservations are now being accepted for a nominal fee of ₹2500. Meanwhile, deliveries will start the following month, with Jaipur and Delhi first. Rechargeable The EV's dual battery system, which has a total 3.53 kWh capacity, was installed by the manufacturer. The battery pack, which employs lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology, requires 4-5 hours to fully charge the model. Okaya states that the e-scooter can go between 110 and 130 kilometers at a maximum speed of 70 kmph. There are three riding modes available as well: Eco, City, and Sports. In terms of features, Motofaast boasts a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 3 GB of RAM and a 2 GHz processor. It also includes car statistics, GPS navigation, and support for the Okaya EV application. Colors: Black, Cyan, Matt Green, Red, Rusty White, Silver, and White are the seven color possibilities available.

According to the report, this is on top of the more than 10% workforce reduction mandated in mid-April. As per another source of the report, the decision will slow down the network's expansion. There have already been talks about rehiring some of the affected parties to manage the current network and expand it more gradually. Musk acknowledged in a post on X, that the network's expansion will decrease for the time being. The update has left laid-off employees at least one other option– The Rivia Automiotive Inc. Compared to Tesla Superchargers, which employ what Tesla refers to as the North American Charging Standard, there are fewer CCS chargers in the US. Additionally, Tesla's infrastructure is thought to be more dependable and swifter. Just prior to the start of the hectic summer driving season, Rivian, Ford, and other parties lost their primary points of contact at Tesla's charging unit due to job eliminations. BYD India debuted its electric sedan SEAL, priced between Rs 41 lakh and Rs 53 lakh. “Our goal is to service 90% of India's EV market. By the end of the year, we want to have established ourselves in both big towns and tier-1 cities” according to Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, senior vice president of BYD India's electric passenger car division. "The government requested that OMCs install 22,000 chargers, but the request still needs to be fulfilled. "Tata Power by itself is insufficient, despite the fact that we have gone to tremendous lengths to achieve critical mass with it," he continued. "At the domestic level, there is currently no regulation requiring housing societies and residential complexes to provide shared charging stations. That must be dealt with," he remarked. Even though they have been updated with ADAS technology, the new Harrier and Safari SUVs have the same engine as before and stand out for not having all-wheel drive.
