New specs reveal: Tata Motors teases audience ahead of Sierra launch
Tata Motors has teased its audience with another look at its upcoming Tata Sierra electric SUV, scheduled to launch next year. The electric version of the car is expected to come in two variants, including a 55kWh and a 65kWh battery.
The new car will feature the comeback of the iconic nameplate with modern design, advanced tech and a premium cabin to rival other electric SUVs.
Although the official performance and range figures are yet to come, the EV is anticipated to be priced between ₹20 lakh and ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Sierra EV looks like a modern version of the traditional style on the outside with its two-tone 19-inch alloy wheels. It features a sculpted bonnet, sharp lines and a blacked-out grille that integrates the Tata logo and SIERRA branding. The car will come with a full LED lighting package, including sleek headlamps, an LED light bar stretching across the nose and LED fog lamps.
Meanwhile, the side profile of the SUV features black-painted A, B, C and D pillars creating a look of a wrap-around rear glass section. The car also gets dual-tone alloy wheels, flush door handles, roof rails, a shark-fin antenna and muscular arches that give it a rugged stance.
Inside, Tata is expected to offer a triple-screen layout, comprising a three-screen equipped digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment display and a co-passenger screen. Other features of the cars may include Level-2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and connected car technologies, continuing the brand’s push toward feature-rich cabins seen on its recent models.
