MG Windsor EV spotted: Catch glimpses and specifications
The MG Windsor EV, scheduled to launch on September 11, was recently spotted while test driving on Mumbai roads, providing glimpses of its interior design.
The spy images of the Windsor EV show a prominent touchscreen infotainment system similar to the vertical device featured in the Wuling Cloud EV, on which the Windsor EV is based. The touchscreen, like the 15.6-inch display of Cloud EV, offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle, in addition, includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror and black seat material. The Windsor EV, like the Tata Curvv EV and the Mahindra XUV700, features flush door handles and a charging flap on the front fender.
The MG Windsor EV, MG's third electric car in India, is expected to include a 15.6-inch touchscreen comparable to the Wuling Cloud EV, a panoramic glass roof, a 135-degree reclining back seat, and rear air conditioning vents. The car is also likely to have a computerised driver's display, wireless phone charging, six airbags, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The Windsor EV will most likely be fitted with a 50.6 kWh battery and an improved ARAI range rating.
As previously noted, the Windsor is wider and higher, measuring 1850 mm and 1652 mm, respectively, and has a longer 2700 mm wheelbase. The CUV is projected to be powered by a 50.6 kWh battery and has a range of around 460 kilometres. It features a single engine positioned on the front axle with an output of 134 horsepower and 200 Nm, and according to other claims, there is an entry-level Windsor EV model with a 37.9 kWh battery and a range of roughly 350 km.
The MG Windsor comes with automated LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, an electronic tailboard, a 360-degree camera and four disc brakes. The cockpit has a 360-degree camera, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver's seat and a 4-way adjustable powered front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a backbench with a couch that reclines to 135 degrees.
The price of the vehicle is expected to start from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
