MG Windsor EV Pro Spotted: 50 kWh battery and 460km
The recently spotted upcoming version of the Windsor EV Pro has revealed many upgrades like modifications to the powertrain, minor visual adjustments, and an expanded feature set over the already present model.
As an improvement over the existing 38 kWh battery pack, the upgraded version will be equipped with a 50.6 kWh battery pack. This battery is used in the Wuling Cloud EV variant that is currently sold in Indonesia. It has a longer range of up to 460 kilometres; in contrast, the 38 kWh battery pack has a 332 km range.
However, the power specification of the new car is expected to remain unchanged.
Moreover, it is expected to include an electric motor producing 200 Nm of torque and 136 horsepower. In terms of what won't change, the MG Windsor EV will continue to appear as it does now. However, a new colour option is one update we can expect. New alloy wheels are also confirmed to be included in the leaked photos.
The surfaced images reveal that the new Windsor EV Pro will get an updated cabin. In addition to it, the images also suggested, black interior, a new light coloured interior, and features like ADAS.
Additionally, the automanufacturer has confirmed that vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle technology would be available on the MG Windsor EV Pro. The owner can use the car's power to power devices thanks to the V2L characteristics. Meanwhile, eligible cars can swap energy via the V2V.
The current model of the MG Windsor EV costs ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹16 lakh. It is expected that the Windsor EV Pro will cost more because of the aforementioned modifications.
