MG announces price drop of ₹4.44 lakh: Buy ZS e-SUV only at Rs 16.75 Lakh

Announcing a price cut of 20 per cent, JSW MG Motor India will now offer the MG ZS EV starting from an ex-showroom price of ₹16.75 lakh and going up to ₹20.50 lakh. The price drop of ₹4.44 lakh came as a celebration of the company’s sixth year anniversary of its operations in India.

Following the update, the ZS EV has now become more pocket-friendly than the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV Pro (fixed battery option), and Mahindra BE 6, Hindustan Times has reported. 

According to the HT, the company has seen good success with the MG Windsor EV, which is presently one of India's best-selling electric cars, averaging over 3,450 units in past six months. By comparison, the ZS EV averaged roughly 600 units over the same time frame.

MG ZS EV Features

In India, the MG ZS EV was the company's second product. With a single charge, the model's 50.3 kWh battery pack can go 461 kilometres. A single electric motor with a maximum torque of 280 Nm and 174 horsepower powers the SUV. The variant features Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, a digital key, wireless charging, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital console and much more. In addition, the model has ESC, ABS with EBD, six airbags, hill descent control, and more.
