Mercedes-Benz teases audience with GLC EV ahead of global debut
Ahead of the vehicle’s official launch, Mercedes-Benz has teased the audience with glimpses of its upcoming GLC EV, scheduled to debut on September 7 at the Munich Motor Show.
In the teaser, the vehicle shows a designed grille and a new style named “Sensual Purity”. In addition, the grille will be illuminated by pixelated LED and will feature a broad chrome frame and a grid of 942 illuminated LED pixels. It draws inspiration from the radiator designs of the W 108, 600 Pullman, and 1902 Mercedes Simplex. According to reports, the company will also provide a non-illuminated model with squares of smoky white plastic.
In the interior, the Mercedes-Benz GLC EV is expected to include the company's new MBUX hyperscreen configuration, which is also present in the EQS and EQE. The redesigned MBUX is expected to provide more animation options, smoother performance, and other smart features; however, most of the internal specifics have not yet been released.
Powered by a 94.5-kWh battery, the Mercedes-Benz GLC EV will feature an 800V electrical architecture, Matic all-wheel drive system and 483 hp peak power output.
