Maruti Suzuki commits to establish EV ecosystem, plans to launch e Vitara

Announcing the launch of its first electric vehicle eVitara, Maruti Suzuki has committed to establishing a comprehensive EV ecosystem, including home charging solutions and charging stations.

Already ready for manufacturing, the company is planning to present eVitara at the forthcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

Recently, Suzuki Motor Corporation revealed the eVitara, a worldwide model made in India for the globe, in Milan, Italy.

"With decades of automotive expertise, we have combined advanced electric technology with a customer-first approach to delivering something truly transformative," Maruti Suzuki Citing Partho Banerjee, India Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, PTI reported.

He further noted that the firm has long held the view that to encourage EV adoption, it must establish a comprehensive ecosystem that makes the process of owning a battery electric vehicle easier for consumers.

Banerjee further said, "A critical barrier to the adoption of EVs is the lack of accessible charging. To tackle this issue, we are committed to introducing a reliable and comprehensive EV ecosystem alongside the eVitara," PTI reported.

According to him, this would include both home charging options and a statewide network of fast chargers that are accessible at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service locations.
