Mahindra’s upcoming XUV700 EV images leaked: Here are details
Trademark filing images of the Mahindra XEV 7e, the third INGLO-based electric SUV of the company have leaked online. The vehicle will be an electric version of the XUV700 and is scheduled to go on sale next year.
Like BE 6e and XEV 9e the production images of the XEV 7e have revealed that the vehicle is going to have many similarities with the concepts staged by Mahindra in 2022. The vehicle will be a three-row derivative of the coup-SUV XEV 9e
Although Mahindra has not officially finalised the name– XEV 7e, it has trademarked it along with the XEV 9e and BE 6e nameplates, the latter two of which are already applied to models that are on sale.
According to the leaked photos, the XEV 7e will be the more classic and less radical of the three, featuring a "practical" three-row cabin that resembles the XUV700. The vehicle’s headlamps, closed-out grille, and front bumper all have a distinctive look that is reminiscent of the XEV 9e. It shares a lot of similarities with the XUV700 on the sides, except for the rear appearance, which has been modified for electric vehicles. The alloy wheel design also has aerodynamic features that are similar to the new XEV 9e.
Sharing similarities with the XEV 9e, the XEV 7e is expected to have a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and a three-screen setup. However, unlike the other two models, the EV will have a conventional roofline design giving captain’s chairs for the second-row passengers ample headroom
Although there is no clarity on the powertrain, a report by Autocar suggests that the vehicle may have a similar battery and motor to XEV 9e. The vehicle is expected to get launched in mid-2025
