Mahindra XUV400 Launched at Price Rs 15.99 Lakh

Mahindra XUV400 Launched at Price Rs 15.99 Lakh


The XUV400 EV from

Mahindra

is available for Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The initial 5,000 units of each version are eligible for such promotional discounts. The company's debut electric model is an SUV presented in September last year. Beginning on January 26, Mahindra will accept reservations; shipments are expected to start in March.


The frontal driveshaft electric powertrain in the

Mahindra XUV400

is powered by two battery packs, measuring 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh each. This motor generates 150hp and 310Nm of power. The XUV400, according to the manufacturer, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds and has a maximum speed of 150 km/h. Three driving settings for the XUV400 are Fun, Fast, and Fearless, which change the handling and power delivery and the number of regenerative brakes.

According to the IDC, the 34.5kWh capacity in the XUV400 has a stated range of 375km, whereas the 39.4kWh capacity has a reported range of 456km (MIDC). A 50kW DC fast charger can recharge from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes. The electric SUV can also recharge from 0 to 100 percent in 13 hours with a household 3.3kW AC charging adapter or 6.5 hours with a 7.2kW charging adapter.




Three variations of the XUV400 are available from Mahindra: EC with 3.3kW, EC with 7.2kW, and EL with 7.2kW. The upper model has OTA upgrades for smart mobility technologies, a 7.0-inch display with Mahindra's AdrenoX system, and a solitary sunroof. As many as six airbags are included, a disc braking system on all wheels, an IP67 battery certification, and ISOFIX bays as security features.


The

Tata Nexon EV

, which costs around Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 19.84 lakh, rivals the XUV400. Additionally, it will face competition from MG ZS EV. Costs vary from Rs 22.98 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh. It will also compete with the Rs 23.84 lakh Hyundai Kona Electric.


Reservations for the Mahindra XUV400 EV will go on sale on January 26. Delivery is expected to start in March.
