Mahindra XUV 400 gets tech makeover, introduces new design and more features

The upgraded Mahindra XUV400 will have two new variations, called EC Pro and EL Pro, a host of new amenities, and a redesigned interior, according to recently released papers. These new models will probably go up against the top-spec models of the redesigned Tata Nexon EV, which has also been the best-selling SUV in the nation. There are now EC and EL versions of the XUV400 available.

The new XUV400 EC Pro edition will come equipped with keyless entry, push start/stop button, rear air conditioning vents, OCPI (Open Charge Point Interface) hub integration, and two USB charging ports. The updated XUV400 is anticipated to adopt the AdrenoX dual-screen setup from the XUV700. On the other hand, the EL Pro variant will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, an integrated Amazon Alexa assistant, six airbags, a wireless charging pad, OTA updates, and fog lights. Along with a redesigned steering wheel, the top-spec vehicle will also include a dual-tone interior. The music system of the vehicle is reported to be equipped with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters which is expected to complement the interior’s revamped dashboard layout.

Additionally, the electric SUV also features a dual-zone temperature control system, and an AdrenoX charge connect feature. It is probably going to have a new exterior style that is akin to the XUV300 makeover.

While the EL Pro is available with a 39.4kWh unit, the EC Pro will be powered by a 34.5kWh unit. The 34.5kWh battery pack states that it has a 250km practical range. However, the bigger 39.4kWh unit states that it has a real-world range of 290 km. With 150 PS produced by the electric engine, the electric SUV can reach 0-100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds.

It is anticipated that the forthcoming UV400 facelift will fetch a premium of between Rs 30,000-60,000 in comparison to the currently available model, which is priced between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh (both ex-showroom).
