Mahindra XEV 9S Debut Confirmed: New 7-Seater Electric SUV Set for November 27 Launch

Mahindra & Mahindra has officially confirmed its next major EV launch, the Mahindra XEV 9S. The company released a new teaser, announcing that the all-new, 7-seater electric SUV will make its global debut on November 27, 2025.

The XEV 9S is set to become the third model in Mahindra's premium all-electric range, which is built on the advanced, dedicated INGLO platform.

Mahindra XEV 9S: What We Know So Far

The new Mahindra XEV 9S is strategically positioned as a three-row, 7-seater electric SUV, a key differentiator in the growing indian EV market. To accommodate the extra row of seating, the vehicle will feature a longer wheelbase than its 5-seater counterpart, the XEV 9e.

This new model is widely believed to be the production-ready iteration of the Mahindra XUV700 Electric (also known as the XEV 7e), which has been spotted testing on numerous occasions. If so, it will translate the popular XUV700's design language into Mahindra's "Born Electric" philosophy, likely featuring a closed-off grille and distinct EV-specific styling.

Anticipated Range and Specifications

While Mahindra has not revealed official powertrain details, the Mahindra XEV 9S is expected to share its battery and motor specifications with the range-topping variants of the XEV 9e.

This could mean the 7-seater electric SUV will be equipped with a large 75 kWh battery pack. Based on the XEV 9e's figures, this could offer a claimed single-charge range of approximately 656 km, making it a highly competitive offering for long-distance travel. The INGLO platform's flexible architecture also supports various battery sizes, so lower-spec variants may be available.
