KSEB plans to partner with RMI India to establish EV charging ecosystem
Independent think tank RMI India has shown interest in partnering with Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) in the electric vehicle industry, citing KSEB The Hindu reported.
RMI contacted KSEB by writing on the subject in August. Following the conversation, KSEB is all set to release a letter of intent underlining the collaboration in the domain of EV charging infrastructure.
RMI India, the Indian part of the US-based Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), might aid the KSEB by providing technical assistance to its EV acceleration cell, research and analytical support on the influence on the power grid, and establishing operating standards for EV infrastructure.
"The expertise and pro bono support from RMI will significantly enhance KSEB's capacity to develop and manage a robust EV charging infrastructure in Kerala and this collaboration will also help KSEB to be a leader in clean mobility solutions, aligning with the broader goals of sustainable development in the State," citing an order issued on September 19, The Hindu further reported.
KSEB has announced intentions to extend its EV charging infrastructure across Kerala to accommodate the growing number of vehicles.
