Incharz and NPCL Launch High-Capacity EV Charging Plaza in Greater Noida West
In a significant move to bolster the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh, Incharz, the specialized EV charging arm of Servotech Power Systems, has partnered with Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) to inaugurate a high-capacity EV charging plaza in Greater Noida West.
Located strategically near Paramount Golfforeste Villas, the new facility marks a pivotal shift toward supporting large-scale fleet electrification and heavy-duty electric mobility in the region.
Multi-Segment Charging for Commercial and Passenger EVs
The newly launched charging hub is designed to cater to a wide range of electric vehicles, addressing the growing demand for rapid charging solutions. The plaza features a mix of high-powered charging technology:
-
120 kW Ultra-Fast DC Charger: Designed for rapid turnaround of heavy duty vehicles and premium EVs.
-
60 kW Fast DC Charger: Ideal for passenger electric cars and commercial fleets.
-
AC Charging Station: Dedicated infrastructure to support electric two wheelers and three wheelers.
By integrating ultra-fast charging capabilities, the facility aims to minimize vehicle downtime, making it a critical asset for fleet operators, electric buses, and logistics providers operating in the Noida and Greater Noida corridors.
A Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Mobility
The project was inaugurated by Tejpal Nagar, MLA of Dadri Vidhan Sabha, alongside senior leadership from Incharz, Servotech, and NPCL. The collaboration highlights the importance of utility-provider partnerships in ensuring grid stability and infrastructure readiness.
Prem Prakash, CEO of Incharz, emphasized the company’s commitment to future ready infrastructure. "Our collaboration with NPCL allows us to deploy high-speed charging at strategic urban locations, addressing the 'charging anxiety' that often hinders EV adoption among both individual users and commercial operators," Prakash stated.
Praveen Goyal, Senior Vice President at NPCL, added that the initiative aligns with the utility’s sustainability goals, helping transition the region toward a low carbon transportation model while managing the increasing load on the power distribution network.
Impact on the Greater Noida EV Ecosystem
Greater Noida is rapidly emerging as a hub for sustainable urban development. The introduction of fleet scale charging infrastructure provides several key benefits:
-
Support for Fleet Electrification: With chargers capable of handling electric trucks and buses, the plaza supports the greening of public and commercial transport.
-
Strategic Connectivity: The location serves as a vital link for commuters and commercial vehicles traveling between Noida, Greater Noida, and surrounding NCR regions.
-
Enhanced Grid Integration: Active involvement from NPCL ensures that the charging hub is optimized for the local power grid, reducing the risk of outages.
The Road Ahead for Servotech and Incharz
For industry observers, the Incharz NPCL partnership signals a maturing market. As Servotech continues to expand its footprint via Incharz, the focus is clearly shifting from experimental pilot projects to scalable, high capacity hubs. This move positions the company as a leader in the institutional and commercial EV charging segment, catering to the specific needs of India's fast growing electric logistics sector.
