IKEA transitions to all-EV deliveries in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune
IKEA India underlined its commitment to sustainability by transitioning its delivery operations in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune to all-electric vehicles (EVs). This marks a significant step in the company's efforts to decrease its carbon footprint and adopt greener practices.
The update emphasises IKEA India's commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation, according to a LinkedIn post. The transition to electric vehicles is part of IKEA's larger effort to improve its environmental activities and help India's drive for greener mobility alternatives.
In addition to switching towards electric vehicles, IKEA is also enhancing their infrastructure to facilitate this change. Moreover, to promote the wider use of electric transportation, the business is installing additional charging stations for heavy vehicles across India.
As per the report, IKEA intends to expand this green project to other places as well, with Mumbai being next on its list.
This move towards electric delivery by IKEA is aligned with the company's global objective of having zero carbon impact by 2030.
