Hyundai Motor India & Jio-bp Partner to Integrate EV Charging Networks, Expanding Access to Over 37,000 Points Across India
In a major boost to India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, Hyundai India Limited (HMIL) has announced a strategic partnership with Jio-bp to integrate their respective EV charging networks.
The collaboration allows EV owners across India to seamlessly access Jio-bp’s robust charging infrastructure through the myHyundai mobile application, creating a more connected and hassle-free charging experience.
Key Highlights of the Hyundai & Jio-bp EV Partnership
- Massive Network Expansion: The integration adds over 7,000 active Jio-bp pulse charging points spread across 300+ cities—including strategic locations along major national highways—to Hyundai's charging ecosystem.
- Over 37,000 Charging Points Accessible: With this latest integration, the total number of public EV charging points accessible via the myHyundai app has crossed 37,000 nationwide.
- Brand-Agnostic Access: EV users, regardless of their vehicle brand, can use the myHyundai app to discover and access Jio-bp chargers.
- Two-Way Integration: Hyundai's high-capacity DC fast-charging infrastructure will also be progressively integrated and made accessible through the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app.
- Future Collaborations: Both companies have announced plans to explore exclusive customer offers and promotional benefits down the line.
Strengthening India’s EV Charging Infrastructure
Jio-bp’s network features advanced DC fast chargers ranging from 60kW to 480kW, boasting an impressive 96% uptime. This heavily complements Hyundai’s existing charging initiatives.
Hyundai Motor India continues to rapidly scale its proprietary charging infrastructure. HMIL currently operates 183 high-capacity DC fast-charging stations across the country and is firmly on track to expand its network to 600 stations by 2030.
Why This Matters for EV Owners
Range anxiety remains one of the primary hurdles for EV adoption in India. Collaborations like the Hyundai and Jio-bp integration streamline the ownership experience by unifying fragmented charging networks into centralized, easy-to-use digital platforms (myHyundai and Jio-bp pulse charge pro). By making public charging more discoverable and accessible along both urban routes and major national highways, the partnership aims to accelerate green mobility and boost consumer confidence in electric vehicles across India.
