Hyundai Creta EV spotted: Here are revealed details
Hyundai Creta EV spy images have been uploaded on Facebook exposing the vehicle’s rear fascia, the Times Now reported. Although the vehicle seems camouflaged, it was clear that the car will resemble the exterior design of the ICE Creta.
The electric version of the Creta will feature a high-mounted stop lamp, connected taillights and a shark-fin antenna, the report further added. By not releasing a specific date, the company is likely to launch its electric Creta EV in India at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
Following the discontinuation of the Kona EV, the company has Ioniq 5 as the only electric vehicle available in India. According to the report, the upcoming EV is likely to be Rs 1.5 to Rs 2 lakh more expensive than its counterpart.
Hyundai has not yet released the battery and motor specifications of the Creta EV and battery specifications remain unknown. However, the report anticipates Hyundai to use the same electric motor and battery pack as the upcoming Kona EV. This translates to a 138-horsepower electric motor and a 48-kWh battery pack. After its debut, the Creta EV will compete with the MG ZS EV and the Tata Curvv EV. The Honda Elevate EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, and Tata Harrier EV will all enter the Indian market, increasing competition.
