The video of the automobile has gone viral on social media, leaving people speechless. People responded in a variety of ways, with a netizen commenting on how this drone-equipped automobile is ideal for Bengaluru traffic.
The Lingyuan, a new electric vehicle from Chinese manufacturer BYD, has a drone installed on top.
People have been experiencing science fiction feelings after seeing the video of BYD's new car, which has been reposted by numerous users on various social networking sites, Hindustan Times have reported. In the video, a door on top of the vehicle slides open as soon as the driver presses a button on the touch-screen tablet installed inside. It displays a drone on a landing platform.
"Bengaluru traffic needs this," someone wrote. "Elon Musk, are you listening?" said another. "I've always thought that you could mount a covert pneumatic projectile launcher on the underside of your car that takes out the next guy's tires and get away with it," a third person added, Hindustan Times further reported.
“The collaboration between BYD and DJI is far more than just placing a drone in a car," Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD, said at the launch event, citing a piece by Xinhua, HT report added.
