BYD registers design patent for Bao 3 and Denza N9 revealed: Here is what to expect
In an attempt to further penetrate India’s EV market Chinese automaker BYD is all set to introduce new EVs called Denza N9 and Bao 3 EVs.
The corporation has reportedly already submitted the design patent application, and a picture of it has been posted online. The update comes as the leading manufacturers prepare to present their new models at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The company has also stated that it will be attending the largest auto show, and it is anticipated that it will provide relevant information there.
The Denza N9, which is owned by BYD and mostly runs from Shenzen, China, is classified as a new energy vehicle (NEV). The model is 5.2 meters long and has a wheelbase of 3.1 meters, according to the website of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Both EV and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain options are offered.
It has a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can produce up to 203 horsepower.
Regarding the Bao 3, it has two electric motors and the possibility of a four-wheel drive (4WD). According to reports, the EV can reach a high speed of 201 km/h and complete a 0-100 km/h sprint in under 4.9 seconds.
Based on the pictures, it appears that the battery-operated model will make a strong fashion statement when it launches, with various sharp cuts and folds. According to reports, the model will be positioned ahead of its technologically advanced Atto 3 and be based on a Super 3 concept car.
