. The Chinese automaker has altered the outlook of the electric car while keeping the audience in suspense about the interior. The manufacturer has also made minor adjustments to the vehicle's specification list making the ADAS feature the main change, NDTV reported.The electric SUV was first introduced in India in 2022 and was revised last year.
In terms of looks, the
BYD Atto 3
has a new front-end with larger outside lines for the air-dams, which house smaller air intakes, and a new bumper design. In the meantime, the headlights on either side of the chrome-plated panel have the same design as the previous version of the vehicle.The brand has added a new roof spoiler with twin brake lights and painted the D-pillars black. Additionally, the rear bumper's design has been updated. In addition to the modifications, integrated dynamic turn signals have been incorporated into the tail lamp design. The 18-inch alloy wheels on the EV have a fresh design to match it all. The "God's Eye C" is the new feature added to the feature list.
The ADAS system uses a three-camera block that is mounted beneath the windscreen. For further enhancements, the company has installed 29 sensors, 12 ultrasonic radars, five mm-wave radars, five long-range cameras, and four surround-view cameras. All of this is said to be combined with the EV's six intelligent parking modes and ten high-speed navigation scenarios.
The BYD Atto 3 facelift's powertrain specifications are still unknown. Nonetheless, it is anticipated to maintain the same characteristics as the previous iteration. The model that is marketed in India has a 204-hp electric motor that produces 310 Nm of torque and a 60.5-kWh battery pack. With a single charge, this model has a WLTP range of 420 kilometres. Additionally, a 49.9kWh option with a 345 km WLTP range is available.
