Buy premium e-car starting from Rs 13.49 lakh: MG announces variant-wise prices for Windsor EV

JSW MG Motor on Saturday unveiled the price of its freshly released CUV Windsor with battery. Windsor will be priced beginning at Rs 13,49,800 (ex-showroom). The Windsor will be available in four different colours: starburst black, pearl white, clay beige, and turquoise green. The booking period for Windsor will begin on October 3. The increased costs apply only to outright purchases, not the BaaS (Battery as a Service) program. The WindsorEV will be available in three variants including Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, each priced at Rs. 13.50 lakh, Rs. 14.50 lakh, and Rs. 15.50 lakh.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer of JSW MG Motor India, stated, "The MG Windsor will enable customers to upgrade to an EV lifestyle through its attractive packaging and pricing. We are optimistic that this will encourage more prospective consumers to purchase electric vehicles, so accelerating the transition to a cleaner future."

The Windsor uses an AeroGlide design language that is futuristic and goes beyond the notion of typical division. The interiors are elegant and comfortable, featuring huge Aero Lounge seats that can recline to 1350, as well as the vast Infinity View Glass Roof, which enhances the business class experience. The primary console houses a huge 15.6" GRANDVIEW Touch Display, which powers immersive entertainment and smart connection.

The Windsor comes equipped with a strong PMS Motor that is IP67-approved. A 38 kWh Li-ion battery pack and four driving modes (Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport) give 100KW (136ps) power and 200Nm of immediate torque, resulting in a range of 331 km. It can be charged in 40 minutes using any DC fast charger.

The first owner of the MG Windsor will receive a one-of-a-kind lifetime battery guarantee. The eHUB by MG app provides one year of free public charging, making it easier than ever for Windsor owners to charge their vehicles at any time and from any location. JSW MG Motor India is developing an innovative ownership plan called Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), which allows you to drive an electric CUV of full size for the price of a compact SUV supported by a manual engine. This flexible ownership arrangement lowers the initial cost of the battery so that the buyer only has to pay for its use. In other words, buyers need to pay a minimum price per kilometre travelled, equivalent to 40 per cent of the traditional car fuel expenses. This comes down the initial cost of purchase and also the kilometre cost to a very low level, making ownership experience cheaper and hassle-free.
