Patanjali electric scooter to give 440km range in ₹14,000?
Entering a completely new industry, Patanjali, an Ayurvedic company, has shown its intention to launch an electric scooter with a 440 km range starting only at ₹14,000, EVmechanica reported.
Equipped with a removable lithium-ion battery, the electric scooter can get completely charged in just 3 to 4 hours and can reach a top speed of 60 kmph.
The vehicle is reported to be 75 to 80 kg in weight and is designed considering students, women and all daily commuters in tier-2 cities who are looking for an affordable and cleaner means of personal transport. Moreover, in terms of safety, the vehicle features drum brakes in both front and rear.

EVINDIA has not yet been able to claim the credibility of the news, however, many reports surrounding the internet have already created a buzz in the electric scooter market. In addition, Patanjali has also not yet officially announced the launch of the vehicle, it has unveiled a phaseout plan to start a pilot project in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Although the company has yet to declare the booking process, it is expected that customers will be able to book the electric scooter through online registration by a dedicated mobile app. The vehicle is expected to be launched by the end of this year.
According to the EVmechanica, the scooter will come in white, blue, grey, and black colours. The price of the electric scooter is shockingly less compared to the other 2W-EVs in the market, which cost around ₹70,000 and ₹1.2 lakh.
