Bihar Police Boosts Green Mobility with 1,100 Revolt BlazeX Electric Bikes for Patrolling
In a major push toward sustainable public-sector mobility, Bihar Police has placed a massive institutional order for 1,100 BlazeX electric motorcycles from Revolt Motors. The zero-emission bikes will be deployed primarily for law enforcement and police patrolling duties across the state, starting in Patna.
The partnership marks a significant milestone for Revolt Motors - a wholly-owned subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited - as it expands its electric vehicle footprint from individual consumer markets into government and law enforcement fleets.
Delivery Timeline and Execution
While the official contractual completion timeline stretches up to January 2027, Revolt Motors is moving swiftly to expedite the rollout, aiming to complete deliveries by November 2026.
Industry experts note that this rapid deployment timeline could set a benchmark for other state police forces, defense organizations, and government departments looking to electrify their two-wheeler fleets to cut down on fuel and maintenance expenses.
Revolt BlazeX: Key Features Built for Police Patrolling
The Revolt BlazeX has been equipped with a robust set of features suited for rigorous, everyday law enforcement requirements:
- Extended Range: Offers a travel range of up to 150 km on a single charge, ideal for extensive daily patrolling shifts.
- Smart Charging: Features a removable battery that can be conveniently charged using any standard 10A power socket.
- On-Board Storage: Comes with dedicated under-seat storage specifically designed to carry the portable charger.
- Advanced Fleet Tracking: Integrated built-in GPS tracking enables real-time monitoring and security management for police operations.
- Low Operational Costs: Significantly lower running and maintenance expenses compared to conventional petrol-powered motorcycles.
Driving Institutional EV Adoption in India
Commenting on the landmark order, Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, highlighted the strategic importance of the collaboration:
"Securing an order for 1,100 electric bikes from Bihar Police is a significant step for Revolt. Institutional mobility presents a different set of requirements from individual ownership, and engagements of this scale give us an opportunity to take our products into real-world operating environments."
With Revolt Motors already boasting a massive retail network of over 182 dealerships and a community exceeding 60,000 riders nationwide, this state-level police contract could pave the way for widespread adoption of electric motorcycles across public-sector undertakings (PSUs) and government institutions in India.
