Ather unveils its new EV 450 Apex at Rs 1.89 lakh
Ather
finally released the 450 Apex at a price of Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom) following what appears to have been a protracted wait interspersed with several teases. The goal of the 450 Apex is to push the present platform as far as it can go while still being within safe thermodynamic bounds. The 450 Apex and
450X
both utilise the same 3.7kWh battery pack, but the new regenerative braking mechanism has increased the stated IDC range to 157 km. With the brilliantly called "Magic Twist" function, the new technology allows you to slow down the e-scooter without using the brakes by twisting the accelerator 15 degrees backward. The 450 Apex is the only model in Ather's lineup with a motor rated for 7kW of peak power and the Warp+ mode. The manufacturer states that Warp+ can reach 40–80 km/h faster than the 450X and can reach 40–40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. Additionally, the 450 Apex is the only Ather EV capable of reaching a stated speed of 100 kph in its fastest mode.
The 450 Apex's wheelbase, ground clearance, tyre sizes, and seat height are all the same because it is built on the 450 platform. The innovative enclosed belt drive system, which will soon be available on all Ather models, makes its premiere on the Apex. But it can't be retrofitted to the ones that exist now.
Though the 450 Apex's overall appearance remains the same, its body panels are painted a unique shade of Indium blue, and its rear panels are translucent to reveal the car's vivid orange chassis.
The Ather 450 Apex costs Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 21,000 more than the top-spec 450X with the Pro pack and 3.7kWh battery.
