Tata Motors appears to be readying a refresh for one of India's best selling electric hatchbacks. The 2026 Tata Tiago EV facelift has been spied testing on public roads for the first time, signaling that a cosmetic update is in the pipeline for the popular entry level EV.

While the Tiago EV received minor updates recently, these new spy shots suggest Tata is working on a fresh look to keep the model competitive against rivals like the MG Comet EV and the Citroen eC3.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: What the Spy Shots Reveal

The test mule captured in recent images was heavily camouflaged, but keen observers can spot specific cosmetic changes. The update seems to focus on "soft parts" elements that can be changed without altering the metal body panels.

• Redesigned Front Profile: The facelift is expected to feature a sharper front bumper and potentially reworked headlamp clusters. New LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) signatures are likely to align the Tiago EV with Tata’s newer design language seen on the Punch.ev and Curvv.ev.

• Side & Rear Profiles: The silhouette remains identical to the current model. However, the test mule sported new 5-spoke alloy wheels (or stylized wheel covers for lower trims). The rear is expected to get a slightly tweaked bumper and revised tail lamp graphics.

Interior and Features: A Digital Upgrade?

While the cabin layout is expected to remain largely similar to the 2025 update, the 2026 Tiago EV facelift will likely focus on tech enhancements.

• New Instrument Cluster: Reports suggest a fully digital driver’s display with a cleaner interface.

The current Tata Tiago EV is priced between ₹7.99 lakh and ₹11.14 lakh (ex showroom). Given the cosmetic nature of the updates, it expect a marginal price hike of approximately ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 depending on the variant.

Expected Launch: The facelifted model is anticipated to hit showrooms in mid to late 2026.
