has launched its all-new electric-powered eC3 in the Indian market.Derived with leaked information and spy shots, the suspense has finally ended with the release of a new hatchback-designed EV.
Although the price of the vehicle has not been announced yet, the EV is expected to be around Rs. 9 lakhs.
The French original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is reported to initiate the bookings from January 22. As per the company's announcement, the e-car will be available in the market by February 2023. Marking its importance, this vehicle will be the OEM's first

hatchback in the Indian Market.Exterior
Citroen eC3 has a lot in common with its ICE counterpart. However, there are fine yet recognizably important changes in the exterior design. The front of the car has lost its tailpipe, and the fender at the front now contains a charging port for the EV. Meanwhile, other architectural features like car bumpers are left unchanged.
Interior
The interior of the electric car has also been modified slightly. The center console has been developed and equipped with a new drive controller. The gear-shifting lever has also been changed. It is to be noted that having a similarity with the traditional ICE counterpart gives the company and customers a price-curbing benefit as the parts of this traditional vehicle are designed locally.
Features
The vehicle is complemented by an infotainment system of 10.2 inches that can get manually controlled by a touchscreen.
Moreover, the vehicle also gets height-adjustable seats, connectivity features, and many more. For safety purposes, the e-ride also contains dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
Range and power
Developed by a Chinese company Svolt, the battery pack of Citroen eC3 has a capacity of 29.2KWH. However, the company has planned to localize the manufacturing. The Ev has an AC charger of 3.3kw and a CCS2 feature for fast charging facility. The motor fitted in the vehicle is capable to generate a maximum torque of 143 Nm and 57 horsepower. The EV has a range of 302km that has been approved by ARAI. Along with standard and eco mode ode of riding, it also provides a regenerative braking system. This powertrain offers the vehicle the capability to achieve a top speed of 107kmph and go 0-60 kmph in just 6.8 seconds.
