Tata shows glimpses of “near-production” look of Harrier EV at Bharat Mobility Expo
Tata Motors
showcases an extensive lineup of new vehicles, including a production-ready Harrier EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.Though this version of the Harrier EV is closer to production and shows what will be soon on showroom floors, it was initially unveiled during the 2023 Auto Expo.
With several Tata EV debuts this year, the Harrier EV is anticipated to be the first to reach the market ahead of its speculated petrol model.
Seizing the attention of the audience, the Harrier EV also demonstrated the same Seaweed green paint job as the earlier released Punch EV demonstrated.
The distinct electric architecture underneath the Harrier EV is built on the same innovative Acti.EV platform as the Punch EV. This implies that a modular platform and greater flexibility will be provided. With its unique grille, aero-optimized wheels and bumpers, and bold rear, the
electric four-wheeler
shows a futuristic design. As a flagship EV, we anticipate the Harrier EV to include the biggest battery pack yet seen on a Tata EV and a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration. Thanx to its bigger battery pack, we also anticipate a more than 500 kilometres range on a single charge. This vehicle would be placed ahead of the much more expensive Sierra. In India, the Harrier EV would be the most advanced model in the Tata EV lineup.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo presentation suggests that the Harrier EV is in development and likely to be released in the latter part of this year. The precise characteristics of the battery pack and the engine are still unknown.
